Dr.Tanja Katz
Tanja’s interest in animals started when she was very young. She and her sister Jennifer started their first business, a dog walking business ,when she was just 8 years old. While it lacked the success they had hoped for, it was a great start.
Tanja graduated from Kansas State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. She took her first job as a veterinarian back in her hometown of Omaha, Nebraska at All Creatures Veterinary Clinic.
After 5 years, she received her dream job of working at The Nebraska Humane Society . While there she gained 8 years experience of doing 30-50 spays and neuters a day. In addition she helped care for a large Shelter of animals, testified for the prosecution in animal cruelty cases, helped start a feral cat program, and assisted in the making of laws for the animals.
Other opportunities included answering vet questions on a weekly radio show, being televised on Caesar Milan and on Dog Town at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah.
In 2008, she was even sent to help assist animals misplaced after hurricane Katrina..
With this strong background advocating for animals, Tanja, her sister Jennifer and her partner, Tom Williamson decided to open Katz and Dogs Wellness. clinic in Phoenix, Arizona in 2011..
in 2019, Katz and Dogs Wellness Clinic moved into their new and current location in Peoria, Arizona.
